Found as a segregation, less than 20 microns wide, in hollingworthite and stibiopalladinite, all contained in an isoferroplatinum grain. Associated are also tulameenite and some Ir-Os alloys.
Chemically very similar (or identical?) to naldrettite.
Co-described with UM1992-24-S:CuFeIrNiPtRh.
