One of a few phases found included in Pt-Fe and Os-Ir-Ru alloys, the other ones being UM1990-39-S:CuFeIrNiPtRh, UM1990-48-Sb:CuPd, UM1990-41-S:CuPd, and UM1990-76-Te:BiIrPbPtRh.

This one occurs in a Pt-Fe alloy, as platelets, up to 30 microns across.
