Very similar to tamaite, although reported as a ganophyllite-type species.

Later shown to be actually an orthorhombic polymorph of tamaite.

Forms flakes in fan-shaped clusters, 5-7 mm in diameter.

Coexists with parsettensite and nambulite in a chert fragment.
