About TachyliteHide

Tachylite, also spelt tachylyte, is a black or dark brown, opaque basaltic glass. The term may refer to an interstitial glass or a rock composed mostly of such glass.
Another definition: A glassy basalt usually containing magnetite microlites and generally occurring as the selvages of dykes and sills.
