The Te/Se ratio is similar to that in skippenite, but the phase is suggested to differ from it.
Forms isolated segregations, up to 0.15 mm in size, present between lamellar grains of wittite. Other associates include laitakarite, nevskitebohdanowiczite, selenian bismuthinite, and selenian cosalite; also arsenopyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, and tetrahedrite-tennantite series.
