Said not to be identical with sphalerite.

Co-desribed with coexisting phase similar to 'Unnamed (Cu-Zn-In Sulphide)'; also associated are roquesite, sakuraiite, kesterite, and indian sphalerite.

Forms dendritic aggregates within chalcopyrite.

A similar mineral of Inner Mongolia occurs in skarn-embedded veins (2-3 cm wide), rarely, in form aggregated anhedral grains, localized in interstices between chalcopyrite and sphalerite. The Cu distribution is likely to be homogenous.

Note: it is not sure, if the Japan material is systematically identical to the Chinese one.
