Formula:
BaMn(CO3)2
Probably identical with 'Unnamed (Ba-Mn Carbonate)'. May be hexagonal. If so, it is isostructural with norsethite.
Forms aggegates, up to 0.15 x 0.2 mm, consisting of grains. Found in thermally metamorphosed bedded cherts, intimately associated with witherite. Other associates are alabandite, manganosite, rhodonite, rhodochrosite, and tephroite at the Hagidaira mine; additionally also galaxite at the Fukumaki mine.
