Compositionally similar to guanajuatite and paraguanajuatite.

Co-described with 'UM1987-17-Se:BiTe', as an associate of skippenite and watkinsonite. Rarely also associated with poubaite. Nevskite may also be associated.

Both Pb-bearing lamellae and Pb-poor domains are found.
