About Schuchardtite
Schuchardtite was first described by Schrauf as a variety of Chrysoprase Earth, later considered as a variety of pennine or antigorite and finally recognized as a (faintly Ni-bearing) variety of clinochlore (Fleischer, 1987).
Paul (1995) studied typical "schuchardtite" samples and found them to be mixtures of different trioctahedral phyllosilicates (chlorite-vermiculite, serpentine, kerolite ?, smectite, Ilb-chlorite).
