A high-temperature skarn rock containing forsterite, diopside, spinel, periclase, clinohumite, phlogopite, pargasite and formed at the contacts of magmatic and calci-magnesian or magnesian carbonate rocks. Typically these rocks may also host ores of iron, base metals, Cu, Au, Fe-Mg-borates and phlogopite.
