About Chlorite-peridotite
Chlorite peridotite is an ultramafic rock in which chlorite is a significant secondary mineral, formed by low‑grade metamorphism or hydrothermal alteration of olivine, pyroxenes and/or garnet. Olivine remains the dominant primary mineral (>40%), with chlorite partially replacing primary mafic phases; serpentine, talc, amphibole, and magnetite may be present as additional alteration products.
