Monzodolerite is an igneous rock, a type of dolerite (diabase), characterized by its intermediate silica content with significant amounts of both plagioclase feldspar and pyroxene, often forming dark, fine-grained intrusions like dykes, and found in places like India's Deccan Traps where it can show magma mixing. It's related to basalt but richer in feldspar, sitting between basic basalt/dolerite and more evolved rocks like monzonite, often resulting from the mixing of basaltic and intermediate magmas.
