About CalcareniteHide

A limestone with average grain or crystal size predominantly in the 32μm to 2mm range, with less than 75% smaller than 32μm and less than 25% larger than 2mm. An arenite dominated by carbonate minerals, usually calcite. A limestone consisting predominantly (more than 50%) of recycled calcite particles of sand size; a consolidated calcareous sand.
