About Glaucophane schist
A schistose metamorphic rock with glaucophane as the major (>5%) constituent. The use of prefixes (jadeite bearing glaucophane-phengite-schist) is recommended if additional minerals are present as minor or major constituents. A type of amphibole schist in which glaucophane rather than hornblende is an abundant mineral. Epidote frequently occurs, and there are quartz, albite and mica-rich varieties.
