Leucotonalite

A variety of tonalite with an M' colour index of less than 10, ie <10 vol.% mafic minerals. Depending on the mafic content the trondhjemite field ranges from:
18-60% quartz
36-80% plagioclase (generally more calcic than oligoclase)
<10% K feldspar or albite (usually the latter)
<10% mafic minerals (amphiboles, pyroxenes, biotite)
