Although somewhat chemically similar to hexaferrum, this seems to be the first natural Ru-Fe alloy (or intermetallide) to date.
One of a few PGMs from alpine-type chromitites derived from two peridotites. The alloy is porous and forms 3-30 micron sized individuals.
