Formula:
Rh(Te,Bi)2
Crystal System:
Isometric
May correspond to synthetic α-Rh(Te,Bi)2 or RhTeBi. If the latter is true, then the phase may correspond to 'Unnamed (Rh-analogue of Michenerite)'.
Found within a nugget of Pt-Fe alloy in the Joubdo stream, Ethiopia. It forms irregular and lenticular inclusions, up to 10 x 20 microns in size. May be closely associated with cubanite. One of a few PGE phases from the site (compare 'UM1981-08-E:FeIrPtRhRu').
