The lithium-calcium amphibole subgroup is one of the subgroups belonging to the W(OH,F,Cl) amphibole group. It is defined with Li and Ca as the dominant elements in the B position.

The IMA-CNMNC definition is 0.75 >B(Ca + ΣM2+)/ΣB > 0.25, BΣCa/ΣB > BΣM2+/ΣB and
0.75 > B(Na + Li)/ΣB > 0.25, BLi/ΣB > BNa/ΣB.)

The lithium-calcium amphibole subgroup is further divided into root-name groups based on the valence distribution in the A, C, and T positions.

The lithium-(magnesium-iron-manganese) amphibole subgroup was defined in the 2012 amphibole nomenclature.
