About Jadeite Jade
A gem/ornamental stone name which is used for a variety of jadeitite with good colour, texture and, ideally, translucency. It is composed primarily of the mineral jadeite (although some specimens called 'jadeite jade' actually are compositionally omphacitite or kosmochlorite).
