Name:
A working name used by W.C.Brögger for a pale orange eudialyte-like mineral which he discovered in 1888 at Skutesundskjær, Langesundsfjorden, Vestfold, Norway. The mineral is mentioned in Brögger (1890), p.499, as a possible new mineral or a variety of eucolite. The name xanthopite was written on the label of the original specimen which today is housed in the collection of Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet, Stockholm. Reinvestigation of the specimen showed it to be ferrokentbrooksite (Larsen et al. 2005)
