Local name for colourless to slightly smoky, doubly terminated or, less commonly, sceptre-shaped quartz crystals which occur in Keuper marl.
Generally used in the plural form, 'Schaumburger Diamanten'.

They occur in the area of the Rumbeck Mtn (Taubenberg Mtn), Hohenrode, Rinteln, Lower Saxony, Germany.
The name is derived from the nearby Castle Schaumburg ('Schloss Schaumburg').
