About Aleksite Group
A group of trigonal Pb-Bi chalcogenides closely related to the Tetradymite Group. The structures of the aleksite group are made by expanding the tetradymite archetype through the intercalation of PbS-type layers of PbS, PbSe, or PbTe. Aleksite group minerals are known to exhibit polytypism.
