Name:
Named after Professor Wilhelm Bodenbender (Spanish: Guillermo Bodenbender) (July 2, 1857 in Meerholz, Grand Duchy of Hesse — April 20, 1941 in Córdoba, Argentina), a German mineralogist, petrographer and stratigrapher in Argentina. He also became known as a paleobotanist.
