An aluminosilicate and chlorite of calcium and sodium, an impure member of the Scapolite group, with a composition possibly near that of Wernerite.
Originally reported from Galway, Peterborough Co., Ontario, Canada.
From Johnston, "a glossy scapolite, often black from inclusions, probably of graphite. It may probably, as suggested by Shepard, belong with mizonite and dipyre.
