About Aikinite-Bismuthinite SeriesHide

Series Formula:
CuPbBiS3 to Bi2S3
A series between Aikinite and Bismuthinite

The aikinite-bismuthinite (CuPbBiS3 - Bi2S3) series of ordered derivatives (superstructures) is based on the incremental Bi + vacancy → Pb + Cu substitution (Petříček & Makovicky 2006).

Members of the series include Aikinite, Bismuthinite, Emilite, Friedrichite, Gladite, Hammarite, Krupkaite, Lindströmite, Paarite, Pekoite, Salzburgite and possibly UM1984-23-S:BiCuPb and UM1974-09-S:BiCuPb.
