Akiho Miyashiro, Professor Emeritus (D.O.C., 1953, University of Tokyo). Retired 1991, died 2008.
Synonym:
A synonym of Nybøite
Miyashiroite was the name used for a hypothetical end-member in the Amphibole group, until 1980 when the natural analogue was discovered and renamed nybøite after its type locality (although few references may still have used "miyashiroite" after 1980).
