Gray to lavender (lilac) and light blue, canary-yellow; colourless in transmitted light.
Name:
After the Greek letter "Delta" since the characteristic triangular cross-section of its "crystals" resembles that character.
A mixture. A hydrous phosphate of calcium and aluminium. A constituent of Variscite nodules. Shown to be a mixture of Crandallite and Hydroxylapatite.
