2017 SEM-EDS analysis of an orange-red crystal in fine-grained greenish muscovite confirms the identification. Orange colored crystals are likely spessartine, however, as there is much almandine and likely both a chemical and color gradation between these two species here, each suspected crystal may need analysis to confirm the identification.
