Magnesio-arfvedsonite from
Phakant Mine, Hpakant (Hpakan; Phakant; Phakan), Hpakant-Tawmaw Jade Tract, Hpakant Township (Hpakan; Phakant; Phakan), Mohnyin District, Kachin State, Myanmar

Locality type:Mine
Classification
Species:Magnesio-arfvedsonite
Formula:NaNa2(Mg4Fe3+)(Si8O22)(OH)2
Comments:A microprobe analysis by Wang et al (2013) corresponds to magnesio-arfvedsonite by using Andrew J. Locock (2014): An Excel spreadsheet to classify chemical analyses of amphiboles following the IMA 2012 recommendations. Computers & Geosciences, Volume 62, pp 1-11 for normalization. The ID depends on the calculated Fe3+/Ftot ratio, and the composition will correspond to eckermannite for low Fe3+.
