Comments:The greenockites all come from a narrow sulphide-bearing zone (they were often associated with galena crystals), which is now largely quarried away. Two important finds were made in this quarry, one in the early 1970s and another one by a local collector around 2002. The very large ones (> 1 cm) came from the latter find
Habit:perfect six-sided bipyramids, to 5 mm. The largest crystal is 1.8cm.
