Comments:The quartz crystals range from colourless to smoky grey through to brown and near black. They are usually milky at the base, becoming more transparent towards the pyramidal terminations. Several growth stages are evident in some crystals with successive growth zones becoming more transparent. Bubbles and fluid inclusions are common, as are inclusions of othe minerals.
