Witsø (1994) reported the occurrence of goldmanite from a garnet locality in Vinstradalen, based on XRD identification. Subsequent microprobe analyses, however, showed that this was a misidentification: the material contained no vanadium and was instead an iron‑rich andradite (pers. comm.
