Comments:Extensive studies at the State University of New York have conclusively shown that marcasite does not occur in the sulphide replacements of fossils at this locality. Worldwide studies have shown very few similar occurrences which contain marcasite. The pyrite from this locality frequently decomposes from "pyrite disease" and care should be exercised in storing specimens from this locality.
