Comments:The original "ekanite" of Richard (1971) and Perrault & Richard (1973) was later described as the new species steacyite (Perrault & Szymansky (1982). Several specimens since 1982 have been identified as ekanite, however, to date most of them turned out to be steacyite or turkestanite. As of 2017 July there is no confirmed ekanite documented at Mont Saint-Hilaire. [L. Horváth]
