Comments:Tilly Foster is noted for superb dodecahedral and striated octahedral crystal groups, with individual crystals up to 3 cm. Octahedrons were typically found in seams in gneiss, while dodecahedrons were more commonly found within the magnetite ore body. Dendritic forms on serpentine have also been reported
Large masses of this species have been found exhibiting perfect octahedral parting.
