Comments:Cooper & Stanley (1990): "From debris near the High level, on a few specimens collected in 1976 as dark brown to almost black, pseudo-cubic (or pseudo-octahedral) crystals to 1.5mm across, scattered on lustrous black goethite in cavities in gossany quartz, associated with small amounts of later, green, pyromorphite (D.R. Middleton, pers. comm.; det. BM(NH): XRD). A further specimen was later confirmed as corkite by XRD and semi-quantitative analysis at the Royal Museum of Scotland (M. Wirth, pers. comm.)."
