Comments:The principal mineral mined by the 1000s of tons for creramic glaze. From Cameron et al (1954): "The [microcline] perthite-graphic granite-quartz-[albite] plagioclase intermediate zone ranges from 1 to about 22 feet thick. The principal mineral is coarse blocky [microcline] perthite in crystals as much as 15 feet in maximum diameter, with subordinate quartz, in part graphically intergrown with [microcline] perthite".
