Comments:Crystals to 2 feet (60 cm) across have been found. Most typical are colorless to pale green or pink overgrowths on pale green cored ("reverse watermelon") crystals, usually less than 15 cm long. Commonly frozen in quartz and associated with fluorapatite, cleavelandite, elbaite. Pocket crystals rare.
Habit:elongated hexagonal prisms, terminated with pinacoids and partial pyramids {11bar21}
Colour:yellow, peach, pale green, pink overgrowths on pale green cores, aqua, colorless
Luminescent properties:blue-white
