Comments:Easily identified by its association with colorful secondary mineralization. Schooner (1955) states that: "crystals, of excellent form, ranging up to a quarter of an inch in diameter were obtained from near the surface of Collins Hill, during the early years [around 1920] of the Strickland Quarry. Wesleyan University, in neighboring Middletown, has many fine specimens. The crystals are octahedral, with cubic modifications." See http://www.mindat.org/photo-626775.html. Columbite-(Fe) and sphalerite were associated.
