Kolderup & Rosenqvist (1950) reported a find of a giant garnet crystal on this beach. It measured 100x70x40cm, and the weight was estimated to be ca. 700kg. It's a rhomb-dodecahedron, but far from perfect, and it's was coated with chlorite and green hornblende.
