Comments:Barite occure as concretions in the schist. Dons (1956) writes that some of the barite explode when it's hold in a hand, and fragments from 1mm to 1cm are thrown up to 1m away! The explotions are caused by CO2-gas bubbles under pressure as inclutions in the barite.
