| Comments: | Granulites from Mont‑Tremblant Park are fine‑grained, high‑grade metamorphic rocks characterised by a quartz–feldspar–pyroxene assemblage and an essentially anhydrous mineralogy typical of granulite facies conditions. They commonly display foliation and recrystallised textures reflecting a history of intense deformation, with quartz occurring as elongate grains within a feldspathic matrix. Two principal types are recognised: quartzofeldspathic granulites and hypersthene‑bearing varieties. | |
