| Comments: | The section of the lower gallery, starting 13.5 m from the entrance, follows a sub-vertical, irregular vein for over 50 m. The vein's thickness varies from a few mm in the initial section to 1 m. It consists of feldspars, usually highly altered, fluorite, quartz, and a little calcite. It also contains modest amounts of mixed sulfides, the predominant type being galena in veins and veinlets, rarely measuring centimeters in diameter. The galena is often granulated or shows clear signs of plastic deformation (curved cleavage planes). The vein is also visible, for a few meters, on the surface in the small valley between the two galleries, where a small excavation was carried out at 1230 m above sea level. Here it has a thickness of about 1 m, always subvertically positioned and is enriched in fluorite which is rarely found also in cubic crystals (up to 1 cm), translucent, light grey in colour with brown or pink hues. | |
