Zoisite occurs as laths of up to 3 mm in length in the kyanite-eclogite matrix.

In the mica-schist, zoisite forms laths up to 1–4 mm in length. In part, it is intergrown with garnet and in part, it is very abundant in layers together with quartz, dolomite and calcite.

Zoisite occurs as a minor accessory mineral in the jadeite-gneiss
