Comments:Bridges et al. (2011): "Kendall (1884) reported chalcocite from Roughton Gill, but at that time it would not have been possible to differentiate it from related copper sulphides. An attempt to positively identify the sulphides on two samples by XRD was only partially successful. One was clearly a bad sample, but chalcocite seemed to be the dominant component of the other."
