Bridges et al. (2011): "Chalcopyrite was one of the principal ores in the veins and is common on the 90-fathom level dumps, mainly as blebs reaching no more than a few centimetres across in quartz. Oxidation to brown ‘limonite’ is common and alteration to grey copper(I) sulphides is apparent on a few specimens."
