Zhang and Lui(1994) describes "taramite" from this locality but without providing analytical data. Wang et al. (1992) describes magnesio-taramite from the general area and show a plot that show a composition in the magnesio-taramite field near to the border to katophorite. Rolfo et al.(2004) provide an analysis of taramite as incusion in garnet, and states that katophorite/taramite has formed during prograde conditions.
