Fluorite has not been recorded from the Leadhills/Wanlockhead Orefield specimens have been found on old dumps which look remarkably like Fluorite from the north of England, and may have been left there by collectors. Also it is reputed that old miners sold specimens from the north of England but this is unsubstantiated.
