Comments:Cooper & Stanley (1990): "Common as a wallrock alteration product where the tungsten veins pass through hornfels; Thimmaiah (1956) described the mineral as a ferroan indicolite. Fortey (1978) also records euhedral needle-like crystals of tourmaline in dolomite at the margin of a quartz vein running through hornfels."
