MetroLink runs 20 min headways on each line, but staggered such that the core has 10 min headways.

And that 1% chance you bring up is not an independent event like rolling a set of dice where the last roll has no bearing on the next roll's probability. Last year's weather affects this year's weather for every year down the line. Climate probability is not mathematical probability

For the purposes of the AEP, it’s independent events. The floodplain and AEP is computed based on modeling using streamflow data (and more) which is how they account for climatological changes

The article linked in my comment explains the difference.

Counterintuitively, the probability that a 100 year flood occurs at least once in 100 years is 63% (Binomial distribution)

Flooding is another concern among the commission and residents, as the site is located on a floodplain that's expected to have a major flood once every 100 years

Not what 100 year flood means. Rather, there's a 1% chance in any given year that a flood of this magnitude occurs.

I’ve seen way worse than this at Heathrow.

Behold, first pitch and TV info have returned to pregame threads!

Good news, I finally got around to fixing this bug. It will be in the post for tomorrow or the next day, depending on how confident I am.
